Dr. Sahra Sakha - Georg-August-Universität Göttingen.
Sahra was a member of the first cohort of the RTG supervised by Lukas Menkhoff, Stephan Klasen and Susan Steiner. Her research focuses on behavioural economics and tries to understanding the deeper mechanisms behind household's financial decision-making using lab-in-the-field experiments in rural Thailand. The first two papers of her thesis empirically estimate changes in risk preferences over time due to changes in the state of nature and the explanatory power of risk preferences to explain risky behaviour. The final paper proposes a novel experiment for the identification and estimation of peer effects on individual decision-making.
From Dezember 2015-June 2017 she has been working as a Research Economist at the Research Centre of the Deutsche Bundesbank.
From November 2017 onwards she is working as an Economist at the Economics Department for the OECD in Paris. https://www.uni-goettingen.de/en/dr.+sahra+sakha/558406.html
