Grated potato casserole with cheese and garlic

This dish has become one of my favorites since childhood and still remains to them. Such a potato casserole can easily nourish the whole family. It can also serve as a side dish, but we use it as an independent dish. In order to prepare 4 portions of casserole.

6 medium potatoes
2 eggs
2 cloves of garlic
3-4 tbsp. spoons of mayonnaise
100 g of cheese
1 tbsp. a spoonful of dried dill (or other greens that you like)
salt, pepper - to taste

* I usually put all the ingredients "by eye", and of course, great rigor in proportions here can not be. It all depends on the tastes of your family and can vary.

Preparation time:
30 minutes for preparation plus 40 minutes for roasting.
We rub the cheese on a small grater. We do the same with garlic. We combine half the cheese with the egg and dried dill. With this mixture we will cover the casserole to form a mouth-watering ruddy crust.

The second egg and the remaining cheese are mixed with garlic and mayonnaise. This is a preparation for the casserole.I always prepare it before I start to grate the potatoes, since I do not like it when the potatoes begin to darken. In a baking dish with a diameter of 26 cm, we lay out the casserole.
